Phases and timing
Describes RotoScheduler 0.2.1 · checked 2026-09-14 D5
The sample's RM-1 to RM-4 have fixed turrets: their arms move between the service station, the oven and the cooler together. At a close span, the fills show what each arm is doing.
The fills
| Appearance | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Grey | Service work, including charging molds and demolding parts. |
| Dark dots within service | Mold removal or mounting during a changeover. |
| Orange fill | Heating in the oven. |
| Light blue fill | Cooling. |
| Lighter continuation of a phase | Waiting after that station's work has finished. The hover calls this Slack. |
| White gap between stations | The turret moving to its next position, labelled Index move. |
| Dotted vertical line across the arms | A turret stop boundary. |
Hover a phase for its name, clock span, minutes and the basis of the timing. Default identifies the sample recipe's source; it is not a measured factory time. RM-5 and RM-6 use nominal cycle timing rather than projected phase fills.

A phase timeline could not be calculated for this machine-day. The inspector explains why. |
Projected times describe the plan, not what the factory did. In 0.2, timing warnings do not reduce the configured cycle capacity or repair the schedule. Review both the plan's quantities and its timing notes.
